Care and Tips

  • Light: Place in moderate to bright indirect light. Can tolerate lower light conditions but growth will slow. Protect from harsh direct sunlight, especially during Indian summers.
  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in winter months. Use filtered water if possible as it's sensitive to chemicals.
  • Soil & Fertilizer: Use well-draining potting mix with organic matter. Feed with balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 2 months during growing season (March-September).
  • Maintenance: Mist leaves occasionally to increase humidity. Remove any yellow or brown fronds at the base. Wipe leaves with damp cloth to remove dust. Repot every 2-3 years in spring.
