It has glossy, dark green leaves, and produces clusters of red, orange, or yellow trumpet-shaped flowers in the spring and summer. 

The flowers are about 2-3 inches long, and have a distinctive, trumpet-like shape. Bignonia venusta is often grown as an ornamental plant, and is valued for its attractive flowers and ability to climb walls or fences. It prefers well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade, and is drought-tolerant once established.
