Cordyline Terminalis

Slender, palmlike shrub to 3 m tall. Stem is usually single and unbranched, the lower parts having leaf scars. Leaves are crowded of the stem; the blade is variously shaped from oblong to oblanceolate and narrow lanceolate, acute to acuminate, and, green or variously tinged with maroon to reddish above and below the smoth margin. 

Commonly cultivated by stem cuttings, also by seeds or root layering.
