Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the family Malvaceae. They are native to tropical and subtropical regions of the world and are known for their large, showy flowers that come in a range of colors, including red, pink, and white.

Some popular species of hibiscus plants include Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, which is commonly known as the Chinese hibiscus or the Hawaiian hibiscus, and Hibiscus syriacus, which is commonly known as the rose of Sharon. 

These plants are easy to care for and require well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade. They also require regular watering and should be fertilized regularly to encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering.
