Description

Iresine Plant

Iresine, also known as bloodleaf or chicken gizzard, is a tropical plant native to South America. It is known for its colorful, variegated leaves, which come in shades of red, pink, and green. Iresine plants are popular as ornamental plants, and they are often used in hanging baskets or as ground covers. To care for an iresine plant, provide it with well-draining soil, plenty of sunlight, and regular watering.

Iresine plants are sensitive to over-watering, so it is important to let the soil dry out completely between waterings. They also require high humidity, so it may be necessary to mist the leaves regularly or place the plant on a tray of damp pebbles. With proper care, iresine plants can thrive and provide vibrant, colorful foliage.
